CRF Grant Deadline Extension to June 30 is Available

On December 27, President Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021. The act extends the deadline for the state to utilize Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) monies from December 30, 2020 to December 31, 2021.

Cities still have binding grant agreements with the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) requiring expenses be utilized by December 30, 2020.  This week, DAS sent email notices to the grant manager on file for all cities with remaining CRF funds, offering to amend those agreements to extend the deadline for eligible CRF expenses to June 30, 2021.  (This is only a six-month extension; it may or may not be extended by another six months in the future.)  This extension is not automatic, and cities must respond to the DAS email.

By no later than January 15, 2021, cities must reply to the DAS e-mail indicating their agreement or disagreement to the proposed amendments. Cities that did not receive the email notice this week can contact DAS at CoronavirusReliefFund@Oregon.gov.  Upon receiving the email indicating the city’s agreement to the amendments, the agreement will be amended effective immediately and without signature or further notice.

DAS has updated their claim reporting instructions, which can be found here.  The DAS reporting schedule is revised as follows:
