The LOC currently has an open Training Coordinator position. The Training Coordinator is fully trained on all the job duties listed below and regularly performs or assists with these job duties as directed by the Member Engagement Director. Essential Job Duties include:
- Coordinate, execute, and manage a comprehensive training program which includes but is not limited to: organizing venues, contracts, materials, and schedules; working with venues on logistics, hotel reservations, AV needs and BEOs (Banquet Event Orders - a contract that lists all of the important details of an event); assisting in building training program; assembling and managing internal and external training committees; identifying respective roles and responsibilities for each participant; determining project plan; creating timelines and long term goals; and, writing articles for LOC Bulletin and Local Focus Magazine to promote trainings.
- Work with instructors/speakers to provide and execute contracts, course descriptions, and handouts/materials.
- Build and maintain training registrations, track registrations, and troubleshoot issues, create forms, help attendees with registration, communicate with attendees, create attendee lists, sign-in sheets and name badges, prepare and print materials, create survey to send to all attendees.
- Assist in maintaining, updating, entering, and ensuring the integrity of the data in the LOC’s member database system. Create queries, reports, and lists; and performs other related functions.
- Provides administrative support to OLLG (Oregon Latinos in Local Government); schedules meetings, prepares meeting packets, conducts research, presents recommendations, takes minutes and performs other related administrative tasks.
- Develop evaluation methods to assess the strengths and weaknesses of LOC’s training programs.
- Develop budgets and operation plans for the LOC’s training programs and member outreach programs.
- Recommend, and develop partnerships with private industry, nonprofits, and other governmental entities that will allow the LOC’s training program to perform more effectively and within budgetary constraints.
- Cooperate with other LOC staff to increase awareness of the LOC’s training program and identify resources to fill member needs.
- Demonstrate professionalism in communications, work habits, and attire; commitment to customer service and growth of the organization; a positive attitude; and regular office attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position reporting to the Member Engagement Director. Depending on a person’s qualifications, the pay range is $34.82 to $45.51 per hour.
