This introductory workshop breaks down the grant writing process into clear, manageable steps and provides practical strategies that participants can apply directly to community-based projects. Designed for those new to grant writing or looking to strengthen foundational skills, this session offers a structured overview of what it takes to develop competitive, fundable proposals.
Participants will learn how to prepare for the grant writing process, identify suitable funding opportunities, develop a clear and realistic budget, and write a compelling narrative. The workshop also outlines key steps for submitting complete and timely applications. In addition, it examines the ethical considerations of using artificial intelligence in grant preparation, including issues related to authorship, transparency, data privacy, and the appropriate role of AI in shaping grant content.
By the end of the session, participants will have gained a clearer understanding of the grant writing process and will have developed greater confidence in their ability to contribute to successful project funding efforts.
