Updated Transient Lodging Tax Study – Travel Oregon Requests Participation

In 2008, Travel Oregon contracted with ECONorthwest to learn how municipalities across Oregon use the revenues they generate from their local transient lodging tax (TLT). A decade later, Travel Oregon is hoping to update this study to better understand the overall economic impacts of transient lodging tax revenues in local jurisdictions.

This is different than the recent League of Oregon Cities TLT survey, as it is focused on understanding how jurisdictions, both cities and counties, spend revenues from local TLT, and what programs, facilities, services, and activities are financed with local TLT funds.

Travel Oregon requests that cities participate in this phone interview survey conducted by ECONorthwest, as the more information that is collected, the more comprehensive the report.

If you would like to connect with ECONorthwest to complete the phone interview survey or have any questions, please contact Sara Morrissey at saram@traveloregon.com or 971-717-6179.
