Housing Planning Assistance Grant Program Now Open
The application period is now open for the Oregon Department of Land Conservation and Development’s (DLCD) 2025-2027 Housing Planning Assistance program. This funding opportunity supports cities, counties, and federally recognized Tribal governments in Oregon with planning efforts that increase housing production, affordability, and choice.
The application window runs from June 3 through August 4. Applications must be submitted electronically to housing.dlcd.@dlcd.oregon.gov, copying your Regional Representative (see below), by midnight on August 4, 2025.
The DLCD has developed guidance materials to support applicants through the process. These application materials and instructions are available on the DLCD Housing Planning Assistance webpage.
The DLCD will prioritize projects based on the factors outlined in the grant packet and will work to ensure funded projects have the resources they need for success. To maximize your application's competitiveness, be sure to respond directly to the criteria provided.
Important Note: The full scope and amount of grant funding for the 2025-2027 biennium for housing-related planning support is still tentative and contingent upon approval from the Legislature this session.
