LAST CHANCE – Deadline Extended for City UGB and Comprehensive Plan Survey
The LOC is collaborating on a survey with Oregon Business Council (OBC) and the Oregon Economic Development Association (OEDA) to better understand city experiences attempting urban growth boundary expansions and comprehensive plan amendments intended to enable additional housing, industrial, or clean energy uses. This is part of a broader effort to look more closely at land supply, readiness, and availability ahead of the 2027 legislative session to help inform legislation.
City input will help researchers understand how often these proposals face appeals, delays, or are scaled back or abandoned, as well as better quantifying the time and resource costs associated with these efforts. Responses are confidential and will be reported only in aggregate.
The survey is intended to be approximately 10 minutes of the respondent’s time. Planners, city managers and economic development officials are likely the folks best equipped with the information that the survey is seeking.
The survey has been extended and will close July 16.
Cities are encouraged to reach out LOC staff with any questions.
