LOC Board Adopts 2027-28 Legislative Agenda
Last week, the LOC Board of Directors adopted the League’s new “Thriving Communities” legislative agenda, which will drive the LOC’s advocacy work for the next two years. More information about the agenda is below, and we hope to see you at the November 5th Legislative Agenda webinar.
Every two years, the LOC sets forth an ambitious legislative agenda to advance solutions to cities’ largest challenges. The LOC’s legislative priority setting process begins with seven subject matter policy committees, which developed 27 priorities this cycle. Those priorities were ranked by the LOC membership this summer as part of the ballot process, resulting in the board-approved agenda.
Developed to address members' needs and advance the LOC’s vision while taking advantage of political windows and the full force of the LOC Intergovernmental Relations Department, the Thriving Communities Legislative Agenda includes organizational pillars, values, five top priorities, and additional areas of focus. The images below provide a snapshot of the agenda.
Please register for the LOC Legislative Webinar on November 5 at noon to learn more.
