LOC Hosts “Thriving Communities” Legislative Webinar
This week, LOC staff hosted an introduction webinar to the League’s Thriving Communities Legislative Agenda. This member-driven agenda will guide the LOC's advocacy work over the next two years.
Developed to address members' needs and advance the LOC’s vision while taking advantage of political windows and the full force of the LOC Intergovernmental Relations Department, the Thriving Communities Legislative Agenda includes organizational pillars, values, five top priorities, and additional areas of focus. Priorities were developed by LOC policy committees, prioritized by cities, and shaped by the LOC Board of Directors.
The LOC encourages its members to watch the webinar and review the summary slides to prepare for the 2027 legislative session. City leaders who are interested in helping LOC lobbyists advance any of these priorities or issues are encouraged to reach out to the relevant LOC lobbyist today.
