N95 Mask Sterilization Program Announced

The Oregon Emergency Coordination Center (ECC) announced the purchase of a system to sterilize N95 respirators and its free use to public safety agencies.  N95 respirator masks offer a higher degree of protection as they utilize a charcoal filter.  There is an international shortage of these devices and the equipment purchased by the ECC will allow a single mask to be reused up to 20 times.  All public safety agencies and healthcare providers may use the system free of charge but must enroll in the program.
