Reminder for Cities: Complete Transportation Surveys
The LOC encourages all member cities to complete a transportation survey to support our advocacy for a 2027 transportation package in the Legislature.
The survey captures information on city transportation systems and relevant needs, as well as high level revenue and expenditure information for cities with a population less than 5,000. The survey is accessible at this link. More than 40 cities have completed the survey as of September 1. Survey responses will be accepted through October 9.
In addition, the LOC is working in partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) to report on the use of local road and street revenue, expenditures, and debt finances. Cities with a population of more than 5,000 as of July 1, 2025, are statutorily required to complete the Local Roads and Streets Survey (LRSS) every year.
The LRSS captures information required to report to the Federal Highway Administration and to the Oregon Legislature on road and street financing for local jurisdictions. Cities should have already received information from ODOT regarding this survey. Cities are asked to please contact Evan Rogers at economics@odot.oregon.gov if they have not received the questionnaire, or with any questions related to filling it out. Cities with a population greater than 5,000 are required to submit this survey by September 31.
