Transportation Action Plan Feedback Due July 31
The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking feedback on the updated draft of its Transportation Safety Action Plan.
The plan guides ODOT decisions and investments to make roads safer for everyone, including people who walk, roll and bike. ODOT updates the plan every five years, and community feedback is a vital step in their process.
The updated draft plan is accessible online. Comments on the plan can be submitted can be submitted through an online form. In addition, the Oregon Transportation Safety Committee will meet 9:30-11:30 a.m. July 8 in Salem to hear public comments about the draft plan. The meeting will be in person and have a virtual attendance option. Participants may comment in either format, their comment time will be limited to five minutes. To provide comment at the meeting, either in person or virtually, participants must register for the 2026 Transportation Safety Action Plan Public Hearing by noon on July 7.
ODOT will review public feedback and complete the final draft of the updated plan over the summer. The Oregon Transportation Commission is expected to receive the final plan at their October 2026 meeting.
