Ways and Means Roadshow Scheduled
The Joint Committee on Ways and Means, chaired by Senator Betsy Johnson (D-Scappoose), Senator Elizabeth Steiner Hayward (D-Beaverton) and Representative Dan Rayfield (D-Corvallis) this week announced a schedule of field hearings to accept testimony on budget priorities.
The LOC has several budget priorities related to infrastructure, behavioral health and housing and homelessness that will require the advocacy of city leaders to bring to fruition. City leaders are asked to please review the schedule and consult LOC staff for more information on talking points.
In every long session, Ways and Means members travel the state to hear from Oregonians on budget priorities. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, field hearings this session will be virtual.
