LOC conferences are opportunities for city officials to learn best practices, network with peers and industry leaders, and take back new ideas to enhance their communities.
Annual Conference
The LOC's premier event, the Annual Conference is held in the fall and is the largest gathering of municipal officials each year in Oregon. The program typically includes 30+ breakout sessions, day-long seminars, workshops, tours, 60+ vendor trade show and plenty of time for networking.
The 2025 100th Annual Fall Conference was held on October 2-4, 2025 at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Downtown Portland. The LOC celebrated it's Centennial year with lots of networking, Opening and Closing Keynotes, Workshops and even a special cake.
Local Government Spring Conference
The 2026 Local Government Spring Conference will be held April 23-24, 2026, in Pendelton. Hosted in a different part of the state each year, the conference program is specifically created to include topics important to that region. More information coming soon.
Affiliate Organizations' Conferences
Several of the LOC’s affiliate organizations including the Oregon Mayors Association and the Oregon City/County Management Association host conferences throughout the year which attract many LOC members.
