Join us in 2026 for a President’s Regional Meeting

The LOC is inviting all cities, regardless of population, to attend a President’s Regional Meeting with 2026 LOC President Carol MacInnes, Mayor of Fossil, and LOC Executive Director Patty Mulvihill.

President MacInnes will seek feedback and comments from attendees on revising the Oregon Municipal Policy (OMP). The OMP is the LOC’s foundational document for directing its overall lobbying efforts; it serves as the starting point for determining the issues the LOC will focus legislatively at the state and federal levels.

The OMP has not been comprehensively reviewed or updated in almost 20 years, and member feedback on the next iteration of the document is greatly needed.

Currently, the OMP provides LOC staff with directions on how to lobby on matters related to home rule, economic development, housing, urban development, energy, finance and taxation, public safety, human resource matters, ethics, principles of general governmental responsibilities, telecommunications, broadband, transportation, and water.

Visit the LOC’s Small Cities Webpage for more information and meeting dates by region.
