ODOE's Community Renewable Energy Program Opening Soon
The Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) recently announced that $12 million is available to support renewable energy or energy resilience projects for Tribes, public bodies, and consumer-owned utilities. The ODOE will offer grants up to $100,000 for eligible planning projects and up to $1 million for eligible construction projects with no match required.
Gov. Kotek recently joined the U.S. Climate Alliance in a video to discuss the ODOE’s Community Renewable Energy Grant program (C-REP).
Many cities have already received either planning grants or construction grants. Cities that have received planning grants in previous rounds and are ready for construction grants are highly encouraged to apply.
Prepare for this opportunity by joining an ODOE webinar from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25 that is designed to help communities understand the program and answer questions for their applications. A registration link will be posted soon on the page linked below.
Applications will be available and can be submitted starting July. More information on the program and the application process is available on ODOE’s website: https://www.oregon.gov/energy/Incentives/Pages/CREP.aspx
