CRF Funding Update – New Treasury Guidance and Who Still Needs to Register
The U.S. Treasury updated their CRF guidance and FAQ this week. New language in the guidance document begins on page five and focuses on use of funds to cover payroll. In the FAQ, questions A.53 to 56 were added, and Questions A.34 and A.38 were revised. Additions include guidance on school reopening and water infrastructure.
In the last two weeks, an additional 16 cities have registered with the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) on the CRF portal. That means 57 eligible cities have yet to register – please check to see if your city is on the list of those needing to register. The portal was created by DAS to give cities a more fluid process for submitting COVID-19 related expenses for reimbursement. If a city does not register, it will not have access to CRF funds.
It is critical that all eligible cities register now, so the LOC can continue fighting for additional state resources. We need to show the need for additional funding for cities to respond to the pandemic. The LOC needs your action today – please register ASAP!!!
