LOC Hosting Local Budget Law Trainings in February

Oregon’s local budget law is complex and spans many months, making it easy to overlook critical requirements—even for experienced staff. The LOC will be hosting a practical webinar which breaks down what’s required under Oregon law, highlights common pitfalls, and walks through real-life scenarios local governments face, including how to correct mistakes when they occur.

The training will be led by Debbie Smith-Wagar, CPA, a licensed municipal auditor with more than 30 years of local government finance experience and currently the Port of Hood River’s Finance Director.

To ensure relevant, role-specific learning, two separate sessions are offered:

Time: 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Virtual
Cost:

  • Individual Registration: $159
  • Group Rate (6+ attendees): $795

Register today to strengthen your understanding of Oregon Local Budget Law, reduce risk, and build confidence in your budgeting process.
