Ready to learn skilled, hands-on work that keeps a city running? Join Keizer’s Public Works team as an entry-level Municipal Utility Laborer (MUL). You’ll train alongside experienced teammates and contribute to reliable water service, safer streets, and a storm system that protects our water and community.
About the Role
You’ll work under the Water Division Manager and receive guidance from seasoned field staff. Day to day, you’ll help with essential, less-complex tasks that support:
Operation, maintenance, and improvement of the water distribution system
Cleaning, clearing, and maintaining stormwater infrastructure
Improving public right-of-way and roadway surfaces across the City.

Pay & Benefits
This position starts at $22.35/hour or $3,874 monthly. This position is also eligible for merit increases each fiscal year.

Candidates with a CDL are encouraged to apply
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency. Experience using basic tools regularly utilized in the public works field including hand tools such as saws, shovels, and wrenches, and small power tools such as drills and saws.
