Census Response Rates Up and Jobs Available
Oregon’s census response rate is currently 60.5%, which is the 16th highest in the nation. It appears that the state is on track to exceed its 2010 total response rate of approximately 66%. However, a complete count of every Oregon resident remains the goal.
As the state and federal government proceed with reopening, targeted field campaigns are planned to reach hard to count populations. Cities leaders may track their communities’ response rate on the 2020census.gov website. Additionally, the U.S. Census Bureau is still accepting applications for positions with its efforts.
