Funding for Cities Available Through Congressionally Directed Spending
This week, the offices of Senator Merkley and Senator Wyden released information on the process for Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS). For cities that have not looked into federal funding of local programs and projects, Oregon’s Senate offices have set up an online system to make the process easier to use. More details available here.
Successful efforts with CDS requests focus on capacity-building programs rather than new, stand-alone programs or projects. Oregon’s congressional leaders want to see successful programs that have ongoing operations, have proven success, or that include local funding.
