IBR Team to Present Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Assessment
Program Administrator Greg Johnson and the Interstate Bridge Replacement (IBR) team will present an update on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the bridge project on October 25 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
The IBR is a bi-state effort between Oregon and Washington to replace the aging Interstate Bridge with a safer, earthquake-resilient multimodal corridor. The IBR project will reconstruct seven interchanges in Portland and Vancouver and is projected to create thousands of jobs, improve mobility along the interstate, and provide a new light rail link between Portland and Vancouver.
The IBR program published its DSEIS on September 20, kicking off a 60-day public comment process under the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA) through November 18, 2024.
The presentation will highlight the key findings of the DSEIS and how to participate in the public comment process. Join the virtual webinar here. Our counterparts at the Association of Oregon Counties and their members will also be participating in this webinar.
