Funding Opportunity - USDA Rural Development Water and Waste Disposal

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development agency is now accepting applications for funding assistance to help rural communities address needs related to drinking water, wastewater, stormwater and sanitary solid waste disposal. This funding is available through the Water & Waste Disposal Grant and Loan program, which is open for applications on a year-round basis.

The program provides loans and grants to purchase, build, or improve drinking water, sewage disposal, solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage systems in rural areas with a population of 10,000 or less. Funding may also be available for related costs, such as legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, water and land rights, environmental analyses and surveys, and other activities necessary to complete a municipal water or waste project.
