LOC Virtual Conference Session: Vaccination Requirements and COVID Protocols in City Hall
In conjunction with the 2021 LOC Annual Membership Meeting on October 22, we will also host Affinity Group Meetings and two virtual sessions, which will be free to all LOC members.
We are excited to be partnering with the law firm of Markowitz Herbold PC to present “Vaccination Requirements and COVID Protocols in City Hall: Questions Answered and Lessons Learned.”
With the Delta variant, formal FDA approval of the Pfizer vaccine, and state and federal vaccine mandates, cities have to navigate a rapidly changing landscape when it comes to keeping their employees safe in the workplace. Join Markowitz Herbold employment lawyers Laura Salerno Owens and Kyle Busse as they answer your questions about how cities can effectively manage vaccination requirements and implement COVID protocols in the workplace.
Laura and Kyle will discuss:
- The ins and outs of requiring vaccines;
- Evaluating an employee’s religious or disability exemption request;
- Health insurance and the unvaccinated employee – Can you charge the unvaccinated more for insurance?;
- Implementing a testing program at your workplace; and
- How to have a productive conversation with your employees about your COVID safety policies.
Cities - what questions do you want answered? Let us know and we will address them in the presentation. Email your questions to KarieTrujillo@MarkowitzHerbold.com no later than Friday, October 8.
If you were not registered for the in-person conference and would like to attend the virtual sessions, you can register here.
Please contact Lisa Trevino at ltrevino@orcites.org with any registration questions.
