State Survey to Inform Future Community Investments

The Oregon Environmental Justice Council (EJC) has announced the launch of the Oregon Environmental Community Survey for the Environmental Justice Mapping Tool project. This survey will inform the EJ Mapping Tool that will become a resource for state agencies to identify which communities need additional support and investments. The EJC expects to implement this tool by the end of 2027. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, May 30.

It’s critical that cities and their communities’ voices are included in this survey. Cities are encouraged to share the survey with their community. Additionally, the EJC has an Environmental Community Survey flyer and Frequently Asked Questions that cities can share with their communities in public spaces, social media, and newsletters to ensure your city is reflected in the maps for future additional support.

The EJC is seeking feedback from all organizations and individuals who live or work in Oregon to understand how they perceive the benefits of living or working in their communities. Survey feedback will be shared with the EJC to help guide the development of the Environmental Justice Mapping Tool with community input in mind.

In addition, the OEC will be hosting two virtual information sessions about the Community Survey.
