Municipal Judge

A municipal judge presides over municpal courts with respect to traffic violations, misdemeanors, and civil infractions. In many cities, the city council is responsible for appointing the municipal judge. In other cities, judges are elected directly by the voters. In either case, the municpal judge must hold the sufficient qualifications as specified by the ORS.
